In a recent announcement by the central government, former vice president of India, Venkaiah Naidu, is set to be honored with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award. Additionally, renowned actor Mithun Chakraborty will be conferred with the Padma Bhushan, the country's third-highest civilian recognition.

The government has also recognized the contributions of prominent individuals in different fields by awarding them the Padma Shri. Renowned art collector Kiran Nadar, known for her significant contributions to the art world, and Indian squash star Joshna Chinappa, who has excelled in the realm of sports, are among those to receive this esteemed honor.
